FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW DO YOU DEFINE YOUR STYLE?
We have worked in fashion and editorial for many years which definitely underpins all that we do. Nothing staid and boring. We want to make art. Tyler approaches each wedding like it is a fashion shoot. You have amazing details, hair, make up, fashion & it is your day to shine. We love to capture spontaneous, organic moments but we also love to take time to capture amazing portraits with an edge.

HOW IMPORTANT IS AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?
In a word: very. We love engagement shoots for many reasons. First, you will learn great modeling tips. Second, you can get rid of any photo shoot jitters when you see how gorgeous your gallery turns out. Three, you get to know your photographer. Finally, who doesn’t need more great pictures of themselves? Yes you will get them on the wedding day but you’ll be in formal attire; the engagement shoot just has different energy. You are more relaxed, can be comfortable and fun with it.

HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL BE AT MY WEDDING?
A minimum of two. Every wedding is different and larger weddings often require an assistant or additional photographer. During the discovery process with you we will determine together what will be best for your day.

Yes, Tyler LOVES destination weddings!

DO YOU NEED A SHOT LIST?
We are happy to see your wedding inspiration shots. We will go over your entire day & must have shots during our war plan meeting, that is a complimentary coordination meeting with our Pre-production Coordinator. During this time you can tell us of any shots you must have or special features to your wedding day ie. sparklers, fireworks, surprise performances. We will also get from you during this meeting a list of family photos that you would like.

Of course, Tyler has shot over 1,000 weddings so he does have his own list of must-have shots that tell your story (details, groom watching bride come down the aisle, bridal beauty portraits, mother and daughter during bridal prep, etc) so you need not worry about giving us a list.

WILL YOU DO TABLE SHOTS?
Table shots are an antiquated (and quite frankly unappealing) way of capturing your guests. Our second photographer will roam around your cocktail party and reception if requested doing “grab and grin” pictures.
Instead, we might also suggest a Hitched photo booth where you can get engaging and beautifully lit portraits of all your guests in the booth! Studio Tip: Add printing!

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I GET AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
A typical 8 hour wedding with Tyler yields anywhere from 1000 to 1700 images. We know it is a lot, more than most studios deliver but we have never had a complaint. Our feeling is you are paying a handsome sum to have us we want to deliver to you lots of beautiful options.

Our turnaround time for weddings is 6 weeks. Engagement and portrait sessions are delivered within 2 weeks.
*Our goal is to deliver your images ASAP, though during the busiest editing season of August-November, sometimes weddings can take up to 8 weeks to deliver. We appreciate your patience while we make your images perfect!

WHAT ARE MY DELIVERABLES?
Your final hi-res downloadable photo gallery is hosted on our website and can be accessed from anywhere on any device. Find your names under ‘Client Galleries’.
If Tyler is also shooting your wedding, you will receive a USB drive with all high resolution images.

All images are hi-res, 8×12 and 300 DPI. Images are not watermarked, aka you have 100% printing rights. You will be able print up to 2×3’feet (poster size) without loss of quality.

DO YOU OFFER A MILITARY DISCOUNT?
ABSOLUTELY! We love our military….thank you for serving our country! We also offer active military contracts with deployment clauses.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT TERMS?
Yes. We understand weddings can be expensive. We try to help our clients in making our terms work for their budget. Ask us about what we can do for you!
