So so sweet. It’s love when I walk into a house that I immediately feel comfortable in and start cracking jokes with everyone as if I was their fun loving neighbor. Susie and her family were welcoming and warm to my sarcasm, perhaps letting it take an edge off the awkwardness that follows when a stranger comes into your home and starts pointing scary camera stuff at you and expecting it to be normal. I don’t know about you, but I have hired photographers taking my photos all of the time, but who’s to say my normal is everyone elses?
Shawn was excited. A ball of nerves and grins, you could tell he couldn’t wait for the moment Susie to strut down the aisle. And it happened, she arrived and they just were all giddy smiles and giggles that only the best of friends could have. The ceremony was officiated [is that the word?] by her Uncle Steve and a reading by her mother, and as soon as it had started, they were walking out hand in hand to a trail of bubbles and applause. Much success! And the following photo session proved too much for your intrepid photographer to handle, her brother laying out as seductively as a man can, causing me to miss a number of shots from trying to hold back the laughter. Her sister delivered a fantastic MOH speech punctuated by famous lines from beloved Disney flicks with perfect delivery and references. It was so much fun to behold.
